COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sammy Edwards, a senior on the No. 13 Ohio State women’s soccer team, has been named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Thursday. The award is the third of Edwards’ career and her second this season after earning it Oct. 3.
The Dublin, Ohio, native scored both goals in the Buckeyes’ 2-1 win over Indiana Wednesday night, clinching the first outright Big Ten championship in program history.
