The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving program broke 24 of 36 possible records during the past year. In 19 short course races, the Buckeyes established 13 new records. Over 17 long course events, Ohio State set 11 new records.
Megan Detro set new standards in the 50y, 50m, 100y and 100m free races, while Samantha Cheverton established new bests in the 100, 200y, 200m, 500y and 500m free. Kelsey Moran was a recordsetter in the 100y and 100m backstroke, while Emily Creran set new short course records in the 200y back and the 400y individual medley.
Kelly Ann Baird established a new best in the 800m free, while Catherine Eitel did the same in the 100m breaststroke. In the 100m butterfly, Shannon Draves posted an Ohio State record, as did Angela Severn in the 200y IM.
Ohio State established new bests in eight relay events: the 200y free relay; 400y and 400m free relays; 800y and 800m free relays; 200y medley relay; and 400y and 400m medley relays.
