Greg Schiano, Associate Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator/Safeties Coach

On the defense
“We started slow. I was pleased how we rebounded in the second half. Thirty-eight plays of no gain or loss yardage. The defensive line played outstanding.”

On the defensive backs
“When you play corner, it’s not the five plays you make it’s the two you don’t make. That’s the position. (Denzel Ward) made a couple great plays but he has a couple he wished he could have back.”

On the Oklahoma offensive line
“I studied them. They are outstanding. It is a battle of strength on strength: o-line vs. d-line. It is a tremendous challenge and behind it is an electric quarterback.”

J.T. Barrett

On Mike Weber’s return and the running backs
“It gives us a lot of options. They both have the ability to catch the ball. It opens a lot of things up for us. Having those guys rotate and remain explosive.”

On offense
“There are times when we push it down the field. We have to be smart and take what the defense gives you. Know when to take the risk and when to not.”

Billy Price

On J.K. Dobbins’ performance
“I wasn’t necessarily surprised. As a player and a guy who’s been blocking for him for a couple weeks now, I know what he can do. We always say give him a little crevice and the kid scoots through and breaks tackles. I’m just very, very happy he’s on our side of the ball.”

On what to expect from Oklahoma defensively
“They’re big, very athletic and they’re talented up front. I think with those guys you have to give them a lot of respect. They’re big dudes. Looking forward to a great matchup with them.”

Jalyn Holmes

On facing Oklahoma’s offense
“When you have a quarterback that can move like that you have to be disciplined with your rush. (We) just have to do our job and do it well. They have a great offensive line.”

On the magnitude of the Oklahoma game
“In a big game like this everything matters. Every little thing I can do, or anybody else on this team can do to win, we’re going to do it.”

Parris Campbell

On bouncing back and scoring a touchdown vs. Indiana
“Individually, I’m very hard on myself. I kept thinking someway, somehow I have to get it back. Fortunately, I was able to do that. Every time we step on the field there’s a standard and obligation we have to hold up. This is Ohio State and the standard is elite.”

Tyquan Lewis

On being back in The Shoe
” It never gets old. There’s nothing like the home opener. Coming out, running down the tunnel with fireworks. It’s epic.”
