The 2018 Big Ten Wrestling Championships (March 3-4) pre-seeds were announced by the conference office on Monday (Feb. 26). Nine of 10 Buckeyes are included in the Top-5 of their respective weight classes with a pair earning top billing as the No. 1 seed (Joey McKenna at 141 lbs and Kollin Moore at 197 lbs).
Ohio State and Penn State will bring a seeded wrestler in each of the 10 weight classes, while Michigan boasts a seeded grappler in nine classes.

No. 2 Kyle Snyder (HWT) | 7 The pre-seeds are voted on by the conference’s coaches, ranking the top-eight wrestlers in seven weight classes, along with all 14 starters in the other three weight classes due to the Big Ten receiving nine or more NCAA Championships qualifier allocations in those classes.
This year’s expected field at the Big Ten Championships includes 15 B1G individual titles captured by nine different wrestlers and a total of 11 NCAA crowns claimed by eight different individuals.
In addition, Nathan Tomasello (as well as Illinois’ Isaiah Martinez) are looking to become just the 15th and 16th wrestlers in conference history to win four individual B1G championships.
