 Ohio State is on an 11-game win streak after five-consecutive victories to end the 2007-08 season and victories in the first six games this year. Ohio State won the 2008 National Invitation Tournament at Madison Square Garden in New York.

 Thad Matta improved his career record to 213-66 in his ninth season as a head coach …  He is 111-35 in his fifth year at Ohio State … Matta has started the season 6-0 in three seasons at Ohio State (2005-06, 2006-07, 2008-09).

 Matta is 2-1 when facing his alma mater. Ohio State travels to Indianapolis next year to complete the four-game series with the Bulldogs.
