The Buckeyesare the first team to win three titles in a row since Iowa won theleague four straight seasons from 1986-87 to 1989-90. The Buckeyesshared two of those conference crowns with the Hawkeyes in 1987(17-1) and 1989 (16-2). Ohio State holds the record by winning fiveconsecutive league championships from 1982-83 to 1986-87.

With the victory over Penn State and a loss by MichiganState to Illinois Thursday, Ohio State clinched the No. 1 seed inthe Big Ten tournament for the third season in a row. Ohio Statehas won 18 of its last 19 games overall and 31 of its last 32 vs.Big Ten teams. The Buckeyes also have own 26 of 27 at home vs. BigTen opponents. The Buckeyes have won 28 of their last 29 at homegames and 25 of 26 at Value City Arena. Ohio State’s three seniorsStephanie Blanton, Jessica Davenport and Brandie Hoskins recordwith the Buckeyes is 105-20. The best four-year run by a Buckeyeteam was from 1982-83 to 1985-86 when Ohio State went 106-22. TheBuckeyes also posted a 102-20 mark from 1984-85 to 1987-88.

She now has2,181 career points to rank eighth all-time in the Big Ten and isonly three points shy of moving into seventh place (StephanieWhite/Purdue). Davenport has scored in double digits in 77 of herlast 78 games. It was the 12th time this season Davenport hasscored 20 or more points. Davenport now has 515 points in 2006-07.She joins Katie Smith as the only Buckeye to score 500 points inmultiple seasons.

With a 10-for-17 FG performance, Davenport stands at 835 career FG to overtake Katie Smith for the top spot all-time at Ohio State. Smith made 826 FG from 1993-96.

Davenport also made her 500th career free throw in the game on a 6-of-7 performance. She is 502- of 669 (.750) for her career and joins Katie Smith (708-of-845/.838) as the only Buckeyes to make over 500 FT in their careers.
