Att. – 302 Ohio State has won its last 13 games overall and 36of its last 37 contests played in the regular season. The 13-gamewin streak is the eighth-longest in school history. Three previousBuckeye teams have won 14 in a row during a season in 1992-93,1972-73 and 2004-05. The 2005-06 Buckeyes tied the program’slongest win streak at 20. Ohio State also won 20 in a row in1984-85. With the victory at Northwestern Thursday, Ohio State’sthree seniors Stephanie Blanton, Jessica Davenport and BrandieHoskins have combined to lead the Buckeyes to 100 victories(100-19) in their four seasons with the Scarlet and Gray. The triohelped the Buckeyes to a 21-10 record their first season in2003-04. The next two years, the group contributed to a pair of BigTen titles with a 30-5 mark in 2004-05 and a 29-3 record in2005-06.

The best four-year run by a Buckeye team was from 1982-83 to 1985-86 when Ohio State went 106-22. The Buckeyes also posted a 102-20 mark from 1984-85 to 1987-88.

With the victory Thursday at Northwestern, Ohio State recordedwin No. 20 on the season, its fifth 20-win season in head coach JimFoster’s five years in Columbus. Overall, Ohio State now has 1920-plus win seasons in 42 years of women’s basketball.

Foster upped his total to 21 seasons with 20 or more victories. Foster’s teams have won 30 games three times, including the 2004-05 Buckeye squad that went 30-5.

Ohio State’s 20-1 start to the 2006-07 season is the program’sbest. The Buckeyes claimed victory in 17 of their first 18 in1973-74 before finishing 18-2. Ohio State’s 9-0 start to the BigTen season is the best in the five seasons Jim Foster has been headcoach. The 9-0 start in league play is Ohio State’s best since the1986-87 Big Ten championship squad won its first 13 league gamesbefore losing to Northwestern in its 14th conference game. OhioState has won its last 26 games vs. Big Ten opponents. The streakis the longest since the Buckeyes won 36 straight vs. conferencefoes from 1983-84 to 1985-86. With the win Thursday, Ohio Statecompleted a regular-season sweep of the Wildcats. Ohio State nowleads the all-time series with Northwestern 31-15 and owns a 13-9mark in games played in Evanston. The Buckeyes have defeatedNorthwestern in each of the last 13 meetings, which is theirlongest win streak in the series. Ohio State outreboundedNorthwestern, 46-30, and improved its record when pulling down morerebounds than its opponents to 15-1 this season. Ohio State has won48 of its last 49 games when scoring at least 60 points.Northwestern made 19-of-63 FG (.302) Thursday. The game served asthe 16th this season an OSU opponent has shot less than 40 percent.This season, Ohio State is 20-0 when holding opponents to less than50 percent FG. In its last six games, Ohio State has held itsopponents to just 33 percent shooting from the field (64-193) inthe second half. Northwestern (10-30, Feb. 1), No. 10 Purdue (8-32,Jan. 29), Indiana (11-27, Jan. 25), Illinois (12-38, Jan. 21),Wisconsin (10-35, Jan. 18) and Northwestern (13-31, Jan. 14) allstruggled shooting against the Buckeyes in the final period. In its13-game win streak, Ohio State has held its opponents to 37 percentFG in the second half, allowing just 150 makes in 408 opponenttries. Ohio State now has held seven of its last eight opponents(Kentucky – 23.8 percent/ 5-21, Northwestern – 20 percent/ 3-15,Wisconsin – 22.2 percent/ 4-18, Illinois – 30.0 percent/ 3-10,Indiana 29.6 percent/ 6-21, Purdue 6-20/ 30.0 percent, Northwestern20 percent/ 2-12) to 30 percent field goal shooting or less frombeyond the 3-point arc. Star Allen posted her second-consecutivedouble-double Thursday at Northwestern. She finished with agame-high of 19 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. Allen hasscored 95 points in her last six games, an average of 15.8 pergame. She finished Thursday with an 8-for-11 FG clip and has gone44-for-59 FG in her last five games, a .745 percentage.

For the second game in a row, Allen pulled down six offensive rebounds. Overall, the Buckeyes are 17-0 this season when Allen pulls down at least five rebounds.

Jessica Davenport finished with 12 points Thursday and now has2,053 career points. She passed Laura Coenen’s 2,044 at Minnesotafrom 1981-85 to move into the No. 10 spot all-time in the Big Ten.Davenport has recorded double digits in 71 of her last 72 games.

Davenport finished the game Thursday with nine rebounds, giving her 993 for her career. Davenport needs seven rebounds to become the first player in Big Ten history to record 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 300 blocks in a career.

With her three blocked shots Thursday, the Buckeyes are 16-0 when Davenport records at least three blocks this season. Davenport has 357 rejections for her career and now is just 10 swats from the Big Ten record held by Trish Andrew of Michigan, who blocked 367 shots from 1989-93.

Brandie Hoskins had 12 points Thursday and added six assistsand six rebounds. She has scored double figures in 19 of 21 gamesthis season. Hoskins’ 12 points Thursday upped her career pointtotal to 1,442 points to rank 14th all-time at Ohio State. MarySivak ranks 13th all-time at Ohio State with 1,446 from 1979-82.

Hoskins scored 10 of 11 Ohio State points in the first half from the 14:44 to the 10:21 mark.

With six assists Thursday, Hoskins has 457 for her career to rank fifth at Ohio State. The Buckeyes record is 13-0 this season when Hoskins dishes at least five assists.

With six rebounds Thursday, Hoskins has pulled down at least five boards in five of her last seven games.

Marscilla Packer tied a career-best with three steals Thursdayat Northwestern. Fellow guard Shavelle Little also tied acareer-high with three assists. Ohio State outscored Northwestern40-20 in points in the paint. This season, Ohio State has outscoredits opponents in the paint 838-506 and has outscored 17 of 21opponents in the lane this season. Ohio State has won 41consecutive games when outscoring opponents in the lane.
