Her four-hit performance Sundayfollowed her game-winning three-run homerun in the seventh inningof Ohio State’s win vs. Oregon the night before. Junior KarisaEvans collected a pair of singles in the game for her secondmulti-hit game of the tournament. She posted a team-best .462(6-for-13) batting average in the five-game event. Arizona Stateholds an 8-3 lead in the all-time series between these two schools,but the Buckeyes’ win Sunday avenged a 1-0 loss to the Sun Devilslast season. All five teams that Ohio State played at the ArizonaState Fiesta Bowl Tournament played in the NCAA tournament lastseason. Arizona State’s Phelan Wright was named to the USA SoftballPreseason Top 40 Watch List for the 2004 Collegiate Player of theYear. She went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles Sunday against OhioState.
