COLUMBUS, Ohio – A third place showing in the 75-player Trinity Forest Invitational has ironically resulted in Ohio State senior Katja Pogacar claiming her third career Big Ten Golfer of the Week accolade on Wednesday (Nov. 9). She carded a 2-over 74 in the lone round of the rain-shortened event.
Pogacar paced the Buckeyes with four birdies, ranking second overall among the 75 competitors. She birdied three of her first six holes and rode the hot start to a a Top-5 finish. The Slovenian senior, ranked 81st nationally, battled the elements to reach 74 and finish ahead of six fellow Golfstat Top-100 players, including teammates 27th-ranked Jessica Povasnik and No. 91 Lee.
