COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State was tied for third with six holes to play in the second round of the Big Ten/Pac-10 Challenge in suburban Chicago when play was stopped because of darkness.

Ohio State was second after the first 18 of 36 holes of competition Monday. Second round competition will resume at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday followed by a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. for the third and final round of the 54-hole tournament.

Colin Biles, a junior from Columbus, Ohio, and Jack Tyler, a junior from Novi, Mich., were tied for eighth in the individual standings when play was suspended at The Glen Club (par 72, 7,149 yards) in Glenview, Ill.

Arizona, Arizona State, California, UCLA, Oregon, USC and Washington from the Pac-10 and Indiana, Illinois, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State and Purdue from the Big Ten are participating in the Challenge this year. The event will held at Bandon Dunes in Oregon next fall.
