COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State Pistol scarlet team won the Fourth Annual ROTC Classic and Winter Open International Pistol Match Saturday in Converse Hall. Team competition was held in only in standard pistol. The Ohio State scarlet team won the event with a 2,058 score. The OSU Gray squad was second at 2,048 with the OSU Naval ROTC Blue squad taking third at 1,834.

Individual standard pistol winner was OSU’s Chip Mardis (So., Akron, Ohio) with a 551. In open competition OSU’s Jennifer Trickett (Sr., Woburn, Mass.) won free pistol with a 257 (half course of fire) and Buckeye Anthony Douglass (Jr., Marietta, Ohio) won air pistol with a 540 mark. Trickett was first in women’s sport pistol with 561 while Teresa Meyer (Fr., Dearborn, Mich.) won women’s air with a 369 and won both the two-gun aggregate (926) and the three-gun aggregate (1,329). Douglass finished second in the three-gun at 1,321 and Mardis was third at 1,319.
