COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State pistol team posted wins over The Citadel and MIT in the open events and against MIT in the women’s events Saturday in Cambridge, Mass. The Buckeyes shot a 6,433 open score with The Citadel finishing second at 6,177 and MIT, third at 6,118. OhioState won the women’s competition against MIT, 2,643 to 2,629.

 

In the open events, OhioState’s Stephen Lutz won free pistol with a 535 mark. Teammate Seth Berglee finished second at 532. Berglee won both the standard pistol (550) and air pistol (569). Anthony Lutz finished second in air pistol at 565 while Holden Jubb was second in standard pistol (540) for The Citadel.

 

In the women’s events, OhioState’s Kelsey Imig finished first in sport pistol with a 561 score. MIT’s Michelle Ma was second at 543. In air pistol, Buckeye Christina Heaton was first at 364. Imig was second at 363.

 

OhioState will return to action Jan. 10 when they will compete at the Air Sectionals at North Olmsted, Ohio.
