COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday that Ohio State senior golfer Lindsay Knowlton (Toronto, Ontario/Havergal) has been named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week. Knowlton won her first career tournament over the weekend at the Lady Buckeye Invitational. The event marked her final competitive outing on the OSU Scarlet Course.

Knowlton, ranked 19th in the nation by Golfweek/Sagarin, posted rounds of 73-73-68 to finish with a final score of 214 (-2) at the event. That score tied the course record, held by teammate Kristen White (2002) and former Buckeye Bethany Overstake (1998). Knowlton helped the Buckeyes to a second-place finish at the Lady Buckeye Invitational, including a tournament-low score of 288 in the final round.

The award is the first career honor for Knowlton.

The Buckeyes will compete in the Big Ten Championships this weekend in Ann Arbor, Mich. Ohio State will shoot for its fourth-consecutive title.
