Columbus, Ohio-Ohio State sophomore Colleen Hoban (Strongsville, Ohio), responsible for the game-winning goals in each of the Buckeyes’ two victories last week, was named to the SoccerBuzz Elite Team of the Week Thursday. For the week, Hoban netted three goals and one assist to boost her team-leading totals to 22 points this season on nine goals and four assists.

Hoban began the week striking the first goal of Ohio State’s 4-0 win at Loyola-Chicago Oct. 27 and helped the Buckeyes complete an undefeated out-of-conference season as she had a hand on all three of Ohio State’s goals, assisting on the first, while striking for the game-tying score with 25 seconds remaining in regulation before netting the match-winner in the second period of overtime.

For the season, Hoban has 22 points, which ranks sixth-best in team-history for a single season and nine goals, also good for sixth place in Ohio State annals.

The Buckeyes seek to defend their 2002 Big Ten Tournament title Thursday in the opening round vs. Michigan at 4:30 at McClimon Soccer Complex in Madison, Wis.
