COLUMBUS, Ohio – John Ealy, a junior on the Ohio State men’s cross country team, competed as a individual at the 2006 NCAA Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, Ind. The native of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, finished the 10-kilometer race in 32:55.2 to place 134th.

Ealy, the 2004 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, qualified for the national meet after taking 13th place at the 2006 Great Lakes Regional Championships. He was one of the Top 4 regional finishers whose team did not qualify for national competition.

The Buckeyes placed 11th at the 2005 NCAA meet, the best finish in program history. Colorado won the men’s team title. Stanford was the women’s team champion. Complete team and individual results can be viewed at www.ncaasports.com.
