Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s tennis team lost to Indiana, 7-0, Friday in Bloomington, Ind. The No. 35-ranked Hoosiers pushed their record to 11-8 overall and 5-1 in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes fell to 6-14 (1-4 Big Ten).

Ohio State saw its best chances to pick up victories in singles action at the Nos. 2 and 6 positions. At No. 2, Ohio State’s Sonia Ruzimovsky (Soph., Brooklyn, N.Y./Brooklyn Tech) dropped the first set to Sarah Batty, 6-2, before taking the second set, 6-4. Batty won the super-tiebreaker, 10-4, however. At No. 6, Buckeye Lindsay Bryan (Sr., New Orleans, La./Ursuline Academy) also dropped her first set with Cecile Perton, 6-3, before winning the second set, 6-2, and dropping the super-tiebreaker, 10-2.

The Buckeyes return to action at 11 a.m. Sunday when they face Penn State in State College, Pa.
