COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s ice hockey player Emma Laaksonen (Sr., Espoo, Finland) will compete for Team Finland in the 2003 Four Nations Cup, Nov. 5-9 in Skövde, Sweden (pronounced Hohv-day). Laaksonen has competed in the prestigious tournament as a member of Team Finland since 1997.

Canada, Finland, Sweden and the United States compete in the round-robin tournament that has been held the last seven years beginning in 1996.

Laaksonen has been a member of the Finnish Team since 1997 and has competed in 79 games, recording eight goals and 13 assists.

Laaksonen, Ohio State’s leader in assists, will not miss any Ohio State games and will return to compete in Ohio State’s two-game series vs. St. Cloud State Nov. 14-15 in St. Cloud, Minn.
