COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 11 Ohio State women’s golf team posted an opening round score of 303 (+19) and is tied for fourth place following the first round of action Monday at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge. The event is being held at the par 71 Palos Verdes Golf Club (5,912 yards) in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., and hosted by The Ohio State University.

UCLA leads the field of 15 with a score of 286 (+2) while New Mexico currently holds second place at 299 (+15).

Individually, Ohio State junior Kristen White (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) shot even-par 71 in the first round and leads the Buckeyes in a tie for third place. Teammates Allison Hanna (Portland, Ore./David Douglas) and Lindsay Knowlton (Jr., Toronto, Ont./Havergal College) both shot an opening round score of 75(+4) for 24th place.

UCLA’s Charlotte Mayorkas shot five-under-par 66 and is in first place on the individual leaderboard.

The second round continues at noon (9 a.m. Pacific) Tuesday while the final round is scheduled with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
