OPELIKA, Ala. – The fifth-ranked Ohio State women’s golf team stands in sixth place with a mark of 588 (+12) following the completion of the second round Thursday at the 2004 NCAA Championships. The Buckeyes tallied an opening round score of 296 (+8) and posted 292 (+4) in the second round. Play was suspended Wednesday afternoon because of weather and darkness and resumed at 7 a.m. (8 a.m. Eastern Time) this morning. The event is being held at the par 72 Grand National Lake Course (6,216 yards).

UCLA leads the field of 24 with a mark of 572 (-4), followed by second-place Duke (573). Oklahoma State is in third place with a score of 288.
