Columbus, Ohio – The eighth-ranked Ohio State women’s golf team moved into first place Saturday after the second round of the Mercedes-Benz Championships. The Buckeyes posted 287 (+3) on the second day and lead second-place Tulane by nine strokes with a total of 580 (+12). The event is being held at the par 71 Cherokee Country Club (5,932 yards) in Knoxville, Tenn.

Ohio State senior Lindsay Knowlton (Toronto, Ontario/Havergal) led the Buckeyes in the second round with a season-best score of 69 (-2). Knowlton moved into a tie for second place on the individual leaderboard with a total mark of 141 (-1).

Sophomore Dana Je (Orlando, Fla./Montverde Academy) stands alone in fifth place with a score of 143 (+1) after posting a second-round mark of 72. Jennifer Selfinger (Columbus, Ohio/Groveport Madison) and Erin Borowiec (Jr., South Lyon, Mich./Mercy), who is competing as an individual, are tied for 12th place with scores of 148 (+6).
