COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University women’s golf team did not travel as a squad to the Central District Invitational, but rather sent three student-athletes to compete as individuals. Sophomores Gemma Webster (Glasgow, Scotland/Dundee University) and Jennifer Cassidy (Dalton, Ga./The Baylor School) and freshman Emma Jandel (Oakwood, Ohio/Oakwood) competed in the first two rounds of the two-day, 54-hole event Monday at River Wilderness Golf Club in Parrish, Fla.

All three Buckeyes finished in the Top 45. Webster led the way for the Buckeyes shooting a 147 for the first two rounds, on the par-72 course, placing her tied for fifth. Jandel followed close behind tied for 19th with a score of 150 and Cassidy concluded the day tied for 45th place shooting a 156.

Sitting atop the individual leaderboard is Ashley Knoll of Texas A&M with a score of 140.

Competition at the Central District Invitational will conclude at 8 a.m. Tuesday with the final 18 holes.
