COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s golf team shot a first-round score of 295 (+11) and is tied for eighth place following the opening round of the NCAA Fall Preview. The event is being held at the par 71 Meadows Golf Course at Sunriver Resort (6,312 yards), site of the 2005 NCAA Championships slated for May.

Ohio State senior Kristen White (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) posted a first-round mark of 67 (-4) and is tied in second place on the individual leaderboard. Classmate Lindsay Knowlton (Toronto, Ontario/Havergal) recorded a round of 74 (+3) and is tied for 33rd place.

Duke’s Brittany Lang leads the field after shooting a round of 64 (-7). The Blue Devils tallied a round of 283 (-1) to lead all squads.

Second-round action is slated for 8 a.m. (11 a.m. Eastern Time) Tuesday. Live scoring is available at www.golfstat.com.
