COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State will host the 2017 Big Ten Men’s Lacrosse Tournament this spring in Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus. The tournament features a four-team field, with two semifinal games Thursday, May 4 and the championship game Saturday, May 6. The top four teams in the final Big Ten standings earn a spot in the tournament. The tournament winner receives the league’s automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
This spring marks the third edition of the tournament. Ohio State reached the inaugural tournament championship game in 2015, with Johns Hopkins claiming the title in College Park, Md. Maryland won the 2016 event, downing Rutgers in the title game on the Johns Hopkins campus in Baltimore.
