Beginning with the women’s basketball team clinching a share of the regular season Big Ten title on Feb. 22, the Buckeyes collected six conference titles.

Ohio State clinched at least a share of the 2017-18 Big Ten Championship on Thursday evening.
Maryland fell at Michigan 71-65 giving the Buckeyes a one game lead with one game to play on Sunday. Ohio State can win the title outright with a victory at Penn State.

“I’m most proud of these seniors,” director of track and field and cross country Karen Dennis said. “Nick Demaline, Cole Gorski and Zack Bazile are all seniors and they got us off to a great start on Friday. They are the ones who have bought into this program. They have really motivated everyone else.”
The Ohio State fencing team earned its fifth straight championship in addition to four unit titles and a squad title at the 2018 Midwest Fencing Conference Championships. The team totaled 1,590 points at the end of competition. Ohio State now has 13 conference championships in program history.
Ohio State took care of business on Sunday and clinched an outright Big Ten Championship with an 89-64 victory Sunday afternoon at Penn State. The win also gives the Buckeyes the No. 1 seed in next week’s Big Ten Tournament.
Ohio State grasped the 2018 Big Ten Wrestling title by accumulating the most team points (164.5) at the conference championships in 16 years (Minnesota, 174.0 in 2002). The 10-man lineup captured four individual titles, seven finals appearances and nine top-3 showings. All 10 Buckeyes also earned automatic bids to the 2018 NCAA Championships (March 15-17) in Cleveland.
The Ohio State Buckeyes knew that if they were going to take home the Big Ten championship trophy, they were going to have to beat a team that had never lost in the conference tournament. Challenge accepted. Championship won.
