COLUMBUS, Ohio – Totaling 619 after 36 holes on the par 72, 6,208-yard Jack Nicklaus Course at the Country Club of Landfall, the Ohio State women’s golf team moved up into a tie for fourth at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C., after a second round score of 311.

With 18 holes left to play, Big Ten foe Purdue moved up to sit atop the leaderboard with a total of 607.

The Buckeyes, who are two strokes away from breaking into the Top 3, are led by junior captain Amy Meier. The Rochester Hills, Mich., native carded a second round score of 77 that included three birdies to sit in a tie for 23rd at 155.

A trio of Buckeyes are currently tied for 26th at 156. Freshman Kendall Prince fired a round of 77, while juniors Rachel Rohanna and Susana Benavides notched scores of 76 and 82, respectively.   

Also competing for Ohio State is senior Vicky Villanueva who is tied for 43rd at 158 after a score of 81. 

The three-day, 54-hole tournament will conclude tomorrow with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
