Heavy rains in the morning and a continuing drizzle in the afternoon forced the Buckeyes inside yesterday for the ninth of their alloted 15 practices.

I”m glad we have this option,” said OSU Coach John Cooper, referring to the indoor field of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. “But you just can’t get as much done inside.”

Cooper said the Buckeyes are “making progress” as they try to find replacements for five offensive and four defensive starters from a year ago.

“We are getting there, but we still have a lot of work left to do,” he said. “We need to stay really intense the next two weeks.” The Buckeyes conclude spring ball Apr. 29 with the annual Scarlet and Gray Game, this year in Crew Stadium.
