COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s cross country team begins the second half of its 2014 season this Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Indiana State Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind.
The Buckeyes will race against 45 of the nation’s top teams Saturday morning at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, site of the 2014 NCAA Cross Country Championships. Ohio State will bring 12 athletes to Terre Haute, led by freshmen Nick Elswick.
Ohio State is scheduled to run in the Blue Race at 11:35 a.m. ET. A complete recap will be available following the race at www.OhioStateBuckeyes.com.

Buckeyes Ranked 11th in Great Lakes Regional Rankings
OSU dropped to 11th place in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Great Lakes regional rankings Oct. 6.
Ninth-ranked Wisconsin is the top-ranked team in the region, followed by No. 11 Michigan, No. 23 Indiana, No. 31 Michigan State and Notre Dame.
Last Time Out
The Buckeye men raced to an eighth-place team finish at the Greater Louisville Classic Oct. 3. The Buckeyes were led at the 8k event by Elswick, who placed 29th overall.
OSU closed the meet with a team score of 247. Wisconsin placed five runners in the Top 20 to capture the team title with a score of 56. A total of 28 teams and 250 athletes competed.
