COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State rowing team garnered four All-Central Region accolades following its third-consecutive Central Region championship title. Three Buckeyes were named to the all-region first team and one to the second team, the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association announced May 20.

Seniors Diana Albrecht (Dresden, Germany) and Amanda Purcell (Hilliard, Ohio) and sophomore Annabelle Fago (Giessen, Germany) were named First Team All-Central Region. Junior Ninett Kossowsky (Leipzig, Germany) was named to the second team.

The first-team accolades mark the second time for both Albrecht and Fago, who were 2004 All-Central Region recipients. This is Purcell’s first All-Central Region honor and Kossowsky’s first second-team All-Central Region honor.

Earlier this season, Albrecht, Purcell, Fago and Kossowsky all garnered All-Big Ten accolades. Albrecht and Fago were named first team All-Big Ten, while Purcell and Kossowsky were selected to the second tam All-Big Ten, following the Big Ten championships.

The Buckeyes will wrap up their season at the 2005 NCAA Championships Friday through Sunday at CSUS Aquatic Center on Lake Natoma in Sacramento, Calif.
