COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Conference announced Monday the seeding for the 2005 Big Ten Rowing Championships. Michigan earned the top seed in the first varsity eight category, while the Buckeyes are seeded second. Ohio State’s second varsity eight and second novice eight earned the No. 1 seed. The championship will be held April 30 on Lake Lemon in Bloomington, Ind. Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Wisconsin all earned top seed honors.

Last year, the Buckeyes finished third at the Big Ten Championships, behind first-place Michigan and second-place Wisconsin. Ohio State won the conference championship in 2002.
