ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Ohio State women’s gymnastics team dropped a 196.950-195.275 decision to top-ranked Michigan Saturday afternoon at Crisler Center.

The Buckeyes started the meet with a 48.525 team score on uneven bars, paced by a team-high 9.750 by Alexis Mattern.

Ohio State then moved to vault and tallied a 48.925 with Mattern tying for third at 9.825.

In the third rotation, Ohio State earned a 48.800 on floor exercise. Mattern and Taylor Harrison each tied for third with a 9.850.

The Buckeyes then closed the meet with a 39.025 on balance beam. Harrison tied her career-best 9.900 to finish second on the event.

Harrison led the Buckeyes and finished third in the all-around with a 39.075.

The Buckeyes conclude their stretch of three consecutive road meets to start the season when they travel to Iowa for an 8 p.m. ET next Saturday.
