%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s and women’s hockey teams each will play host to games Friday and Saturday as part of “Hockey Week” in Columbus.%^$

%^$At the Columbus City Council meeting Jan. 8, Columbus Mayor Michael B. Coleman proclaimed the next seven days as “Hockey Week” in the city with the anticipation of establishing a record for fans attending simultaneous National Hockey League (NHL) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) hockey games within the same city. More than 30,000 hockey fans are expected at the three games Friday night, featuring the Buckeyes’ men’s and women’s hockey teams as well as the Columbus Blue Jackets.%^$

%^$The OSU men’s hockey team will play host to rival Michigan at 7:35 p.m. Friday and Saturday in Value City Arena. The women’s team faces off against WCHA-foe Bemidji State at 7:05 p.m. Friday and at 4:05 p.m. Saturday in the OSU Ice Arena.%^$

%^$In addition, the Blue Jackets play host to three games during the week, as well as the Dodge/NHL Superskills, at Nationwide Arena.%^$
