COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s gymnastics team opens its 2016 home slate with a dual meet against No. 18 Minnesota at 4 p.m. Saturday at St. John Arena.

LAST TIME OUT
The Buckeyes dropped a 196.375-195.025 decision at Iowa last Saturday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Alexis Mattern finished third in the all-around with a career-best 39.225 in the all-around while Jamie Stone posted a career-high 9.850 on vault and Samantha Kent earned a career-best 9.850 on balance beam.
A LOOK AT 2016
The Buckeyes return 10 letterwinners off the 2015 NCAA Regional squad and welcome five newcomers to go along with redshirt freshman Kaitlyn Hofland, who missed all of last season with an injury.
IN THE RANKINGS
Ohio State sits just outside the Top 25 of the Road to Nationals rankings this week. No. 3 Michigan leads the conference, followed by No. 17 Nebraska, No. 18 Minnesota and No. 19 Illinois.
The Buckeyes also square off with preseason No. 10 Boise State Feb. 19 in Boise.
B1G PRESEASON POLL
Ohio State was selected fifth in the Big Ten Preseason Coaches’ Poll, the conference office announced Dec. 10. In addition, sophomore Taylor Harrison and redshirt freshman Kaitlyn Hofland were named gymnasts to watch in the conference.
The Buckeyes were picked behind Michigan, Nebraska, Illinois and Penn State.
Season tickets, on sale now, include a ticket to each of the four home meets and are just $26 for adults and $16 for youth. Single-meet tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for youth.
