COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team opened in second place Monday after two rounds of the Barona Collegiate Cup in San Diego, Calif. The Buckeyes posted an opening-round score of 283 and followed it up with a score of 273 in the second round. Ohio State’s 556 composite score trails first-place Brigham Young by eight strokes heading into the final round Tuesday.

Ohio State senior Scott Anderson (Great Falls, Mont./Great Falls) is first on the individual leaderboard with a score of 134. Anderson posted two rounds of 67 (-5) on the opening day. Teammate Zack Randol (Jr., Lawrence, N.Y./Woodberry Forest) is tied for ninth with a score of 138 and Colin Biles (So., Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) is tied for 15th after firing a round of 139.

The third and final round of the Barona Collegiate Cup is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Pacific Time (10:30 a.m. Eastern Time) Tuesday.
