COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team posted its best finish of the 2004-05 season as it placed third with a total of 849 Saturday at the 2005 Marshall Invitational. Marshall University played host to the event at the par 71, 6,446-yard Guyan Golf and Country Club in Huntington, W. Va.

Colin Biles (So., Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) led all Buckeye individuals with a tournament total of 210. Biles carded a final round of even par 71.

The Buckeyes also received strong performances by Scott Anderson (Sr., Great Falls, Mont./Great Falls) and Zack Randol (Jr., Lawrence, N.Y./Woodberry Forest). Both tied for ninth with a three-round total of 211.

The University of Louisville won the event with a tally of 837, while the University of Akron’s Blake Sattler set an individual 54-hole record by posting an 11-under, 202 (69-68-65), breaking the record set by Ohio State’s Kevin Hall in 2004 (206).

The Buckeyes return to action April 16-17 at the 2005 Aggie Invitational in College Station, Texas.
