COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team finished ninth at the 2006 Big Ten Championships Sunday. The event, hosted by Northwestern, was contested at the Conway Farms Golf Club (par 71, 7,168 yards) in Lake Forest, Ill. The Buckeyes shot 1,225 (302-309-291-323).

Northwestern (282-286-291-301=1,160) was the team champion, overtaking Minnesota (288-294-280-307=1,169) to win the title. Northwestern’s first round 282 was the best of the tournament.

Chris Wilson of Northwestern was the top finisher (280) individually finishing just one stroke ahead of Ryan Brehm of Michigan State.

Ohio State’s Colin Biles (Jr., Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) finished tied for 16th to lead Ohio State individually.
