Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s tennis team lost 7-0 to Wisconsin Sunday afternoon at the Jesse Owens West Tennis Center in Columbus, Ohio. The duo of Caitlin O’Keefe (Fr., Troy, Mich./Troy) and Lindsay Bryan (Sr., New Orleans, La./Ursuline Academy) won at No. 3 doubles for the Buckeyes (7-18, 2-8 Big Ten). The Badgers finished the season 6-4 in the Big Ten and 14-7 overall.

Ohio State lost the doubles point despite the 8-3 victory by O’Keefe and Bryan over Wisconsin’s Nicole Beck and Chelsea Nusslock.

In singles, Emily DeCamilla (Sr., Sacramento, Calif./Maryland) lost at the No. 1 position to Katie McGaffigan, 6-2, 7-5, despite a comeback attempt in the second set. At No. 2, No. 83-ranked Caitlin Burke of Wisconsin downed Sonia Ruzimovsky (Soph., Brooklyn, N.Y./Brooklyn Tech), 6-3, 6-3. At No. 3, Ohio State’s Caitlin O’Keefe (Fr., Troy, Mich./Troy) also saw her bid for a victory fall short when she lost a match-tie-breaker, 12-10, to Lindsay Martin.

With the regular season finished, Ohio State will compete Thursday at the 2005 Big Ten Championship in East Lansing, Mich.
