COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s gymnastics team opens its 2016 season with the annual Scarlet & Gray Intrasquad Sunday, Dec. 20, at Steelwood Athletic Training Facility.

The Buckeyes, who enter the 2016 season ranked No. 1 in the Big Ten Preseason Coaches’ Poll and No. 2 in the CGA Preseason Coaches’ Poll, will be divided into two squads, Scarlet and Gray. Gymnasts will compete on all six Olympic events in front of judges and fans to simulate the environment at regular-season competitions.

Following the Scarlet & Gray Intrasquad, the Buckeyes have two weeks off before returning to the gym for the Alumni Exhibition at Steelwood on Saturday, Jan. 9. The regular season begins Jan. 17 at the Windy City Invitational in Chicago.

Sunday’s meet, scheduled for 2 p.m., is open to the public. Admission is free.
