COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Conference announced the 2003 Field Hockey All-Big Ten Teams Thursday at the Big Ten Tournament banquet and three Ohio State student-athletes were named to both the first and second teams. Senior forward Vanessa Immordino (Sr.; Roseland, N.J.) and junior midfielder Lucy Clayton (Jr.; Scarborough, England) earned first team honors. Sophomore midfielder Leticia Fragapane (So.; Mendoza, Argentina) was named to the second team, while Curlyne Wynn (Fr.; Trincity, Trinidad, Tobago) captured Freshman of the Year honors.

Immordino leads the Big Ten with 50 points, 21 goals and five game-winning goals. She has earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors three time this season, more than any other player in the conference. Immordino finished the regular season leading the OSU squad in goals (21) and points (50).

Clayton is tied at third in the Big Ten with 15 goals and with four game-winning goals. She is also tied at fourth with 36 points this season. Clayton was second on the team in points with 36, as she tallied 15 goals and six assists. Clayton also led the team with 87 shots.

Starting 17 of 18 games, Fragapane recorded one defensive save in 2003 against the No. 3 Maryland Terrapins.

Wynn started 15 of 18 games for the Buckeyes and compiled six goals and seven assists for 19 points in the regular season.

The Buckeyes completed the regular season with a 12-6 overall record, including a 4-2 record in the Big Ten.

Ohio State competes in the Big Ten Tournament at 2 p.m. Friday against the Northwestern Wildcats on Bigler Field in University Park, Pa.
