COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior defensemen Ben Randall has been selected as one of 25 nominees for this year’s Tewaaraton Award, The Tewaaraton Foundation announced today.
A Cincinnati, Ohio native, Randall currently leads the team with 13 caused turnovers and has 18 ground balls. He’s started every game this season for an Ohio State defense that is ranked No. 1 in the conference in goals-against average (8.92 goals/per game).
The program’s first-ever first team All-American last season, Randall has 68 ground balls and 26 caused turnovers over the last two years. He, along with 12 other seniors, will be honored inside Ohio Stadium before Saturday’s regular season finale against No. 9 Rutgers at 4 p.m.
