COLUMBUS, Ohio – Teeing off against a competitive field, the Ohio State women’s golf team wrapped its fall slate with a third-place finish at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C. Shaving eleven strokes off their second round score, the Buckeyes fired a third round of 300 to total 919 on the par 72, 6,208-yard Jack Nicklaus Course at the Country Club of Landfall.

Finding a medalist in Paula Reto, Purdue concluded the tournament in first with a team score of 904.

Leading Ohio State was freshman Kendall Prince who fired an even round of 72 to finish in 12th at 228. The Lake Oswego, Oregon, native’s only slip on the day came in a bogey on hole No. 13 which she countered with a birdie to make par.

Joining Prince in the Top 15 was junior Rachel Rohanna who concluded the tournament tied for 13th at 229. Carding both a birdie and an eagle on the day, Rohanna notched a final round of 73.

One stroke back from Rohanna at 230 was junior captain Amy Meier who finished tied for 16th after a final round of 75.

Firing rounds of 80 were the Buckeye pair of junior Susana Benavides and senior Vicky Villanueva. Benavides tied for 39th, while Villanueva tied for 53rd.

The Buckeyes will take a three-month break before heading to West Palm Beach, Fla., for an alumni match Feb. 5.
