Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s track and field program had several alumni compete Saturday and Sunday at the 2007 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships in the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston, Mass. The meet featured former Buckeyes Dan Taylor, Joel Brown and Rob Myers. All three competed at Ohio State from 2001-04 and helped the Buckeyes tie for fourth at the 2004 NCAA Outdoor Championship meet.

Myers clocked a 4:01.78 mile on his way to a second place finish in the event. Currently running for Reebok, Myers has the eighth-best time in by an American this year on a non-oversized track. He was a three-time All-American at Ohio State and is the school record holder in the mile with a time of 3:58.64.

Taylor, currently a competitor for Nike, took third in the shot put with a toss of 66 feet, 5 inches. Taylor currently owns the third-best throw by an American this year with a toss of 70-9 1/4 on Jan. 27. Taylor, a nine-time All-American at OSU, holds the Ohio State record in the weight throw with a career best toss of 78-9 1/4.

Brown, also a competitor for Nike, finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.61. It was Brown’s second best-time of the season. The former three-time NCAA All-American’s best of 7.60 on Jan. 27 is the No. 5 time by American this year.
