COLUMBUS, Ohio-The Ohio State men’s golf team is 12 shots back of the leader after two rounds at the 2004 Matlock Collegiate Classic in Lakeland, Fla. The event is being played at the Par 72, 7,065-yard Grasslands Golf and Country Club.

Memphis is the leader heading into the final round Tuesday with an even par score of 576 (293-283). The Buckeyes shot 293-295= 588 and are just three shots out of third place.

Ohio State is led by senior Zach Doran (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin). He shot 144 (70-74), entering the final round tied for 11th place at even par. Freshman Colin Biles (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) is two shots back of even and is tied for 17th place (73-73=146). Senior Kevin Hall (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Rita) is tied for 20th at plus three (74-73=147).

Greg Koch of Florida Southern, host school of the even, is the individual leader with a six-under total of 138 (70-68).
