Big Ten Championships Next Week in West Lafayette; Ticket Info
Purdue University will host the 2011 Big Ten Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday, February 26 and 27 at Lambert Field House.

Buckeyes in the USTFCCCA Rankings
Ohio State fell nine spots to No. 36 in the Feb. 15 national team rankings by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll, but remained No. 1 in the Great Lakes regional rankings by a wide margin.
 
Two Big Ten rivals are featured in the Top 25, No. 13 Michigan and 25th-ranked Indiana, while future Big Ten member Nebraska checks in at No. 11. Regionally, the Buckeyes are joined in the Top 4 by the Hoosiers, Wolverines, and fourth-ranked Michigan State.

Scarlet and Gray in Individual Top 35 Rankings

Christina Manning – No. 3 in the 60m hurdles, No. 31 in the 60m
Letecia Wright – No. 11 in the 60m hurdles
Ashley Galbraith – No. 18 in the high jump

Last Time Out
Ohio State split squads for the second time this season, with team members competing at both the Crusader Invite at Capital University in Columbus Feb. 11 and the Akron Invitational in Akron, Ohio, on Feb. 12.

The Scarlet and Gray put on a dominating performance against the top collegiate teams in the Greater Columbus area at the Crusader Invite, amassing 232 points for an easy first-place team finish. In all, nine Buckeyes captured event titles.

Ashley Galbraith, Kelcey McKinney, Sarah Lowe and Latoya Sanderson all took first in the Gold Division events to lead the way for the Buckeyes in Akron. Galbraith won the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.77m, while fellow jumper McKinney bested the competition in the triple jump with a leap of 11.95m. On the track, Lowe outran the pack in a new personal-record time of 17:10.41 to capture first in the 5000m. Sanderson (55.80) captured another first-place finish for the team in the 400m.
