Nolan, Vergroesen Earn B1G Distinguished Scholar Honors

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Two members of the Ohio State field hockey team have been named Big Ten Distinguished Scholars, announced by the conference office on Tuesday. To receive the accolade, student-athletes must earn a GPA of 3.70 or higher over the past academic year.

Rising senior midfielder Kelsey Nolan (Teaching English To Speakers Of Other Languages) and senior midfielder/back Carolina Vergroesen (Applied Economics) both received the honor. The pair are part of 1,143 Big Ten student-athletes to receive the honor for the 2017-18 academic year.
