COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 11 Ohio State Buckeyes (9-3 overall, 2-3 in the Big Ten) lost to the No. 4 Penn State Nittany Lions (12-2 overall, 4-1 in Big Ten), 2-1 in State College, Pa. %^$

%^$The Nittany Lions scored first when Traci Anselmo scored on a direct corner. PSU increased its lead 2-0 with 18:55 remaining in the game with a goal from Tracey Larson.%^$

%^$Ohio State avoided the shutout when Katie Hobson (Jr., Norristown, Pa.) scored off a pass from Marije van Nouhuys (So., New Lyceum, Netherlands). It was the only shot on goal for OSU the entire game.%^$

%^$Goalkeeper Gillian Batey (Fr., Victoria, British Columbia) recorded 19 saves, a new record for saves by a Penn State opponents. %^$
