COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University will host the 2001 Big Ten Baseball Tournament this Wednesday through Sunday at Bill Davis Stadium. This marks the second time in three years that Ohio State will host the event.

Tickets for the tournament can be obtained at the Ohio State Athletics Ticket Office by calling 1-800-GO-BUCKS or (614) 292-2624. Box seats are $10, while General Admission seats are $5 and student tickets are $3.

The tournament kicks off Wednesday as No. 3-seeded Minnesota battles No. 4-seeded Penn State at 12:05 p.m. In the second game, No. 2-seed Purdue faces No. 5-seed Illinois at 3:35 p.m. Big Ten champion Ohio State, the No. 1 seed, plays sixth-seeded Michigan at 7:05 p.m. in the nightcap.

Bill Davis Stadium also will host the NCAA Columbus Regional May 25-27, marking the second time the regional tournament will be contested at the stadium. The selection automatically places Ohio State into the NCAA Tournament.
