No. 20 Ohio State Travels to Minneapolis for Dual with Minnesota

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The No. 20 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team hits the road to take on Minnesota at 5 p.m. Saturday at Sports Pavilion in Minneapolis.

OHIO STATE OF LATE
No. 18 Ohio State fell to No. 22 Iowa, 196.175-195.525 last Saturday at St. John Arena. Alexis Mattern posted a career-best 9.850 to tie for second on uneven bars while Kaitlyn Hofland tallied a season-high 9.900 to tie for second on balance beam. The Buckeyes earned season high team scores on both balance beam and floor exercise.

A LOOK AT 2017
The Buckeyes return 10 letterwinners off the 2016 NCAA Regional squad and welcome a cast of four newcomers. Included in the 10 returning letterwinners are Kaitlyn Hofland, Alexis Mattern and Jamie Stone, a trio of second team All-Big Ten selections from a season ago.

IN THE RANKINGS
Ohio State checks in at No. 20 in the latest Road to Nationals rankings. Other Big Ten teams in the rankings include No. 10 Michigan, No. 12(t) Nebraska, No. 21 Illinois and No. 22 Iowa.

The Buckeyes currently rank 17th nationally on balance beam, tied for 21st on uneven bars and 22nd on vault.

Season tickets, on sale now, include a ticket to each of the five home meets and are just $32 for adults and $20 for youth. Single-meet tickets also are on sale now at $8 for adults and $5 for youth.
