COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 19 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team travels to East Lansing to take on Michigan State at 5 p.m. Saturday. The meet will be televised live on BTN.

The Buckeyes posted a season-best 196.250 last Friday in a dual meet against No. 3 Michigan. Sarah Miller tied for first with a 9.875 on balance beam and Aly Marohn tied for the event title on bars with a career-best 9.900.
IN THE RANKINGS
Ohio State is currently ranked 19th nationally in the GymInfo Top 25. Four other Big Ten teams are ranked including Michigan (No. 3), Nebraska (No. 8), Minnesota (No. 11) and Illinois (No. 21).
As a team, the Buckeyes are tied for 19th nationally on vault (49.000), 20th on balance beam (48.738) and 21st on uneven bars (48.825).
Individually, Sarah Miller is 11th nationally on balance beam, 13th on floor exercise and tied for 15th on vault.
MILLER EARNS FOURTH B1G AWARD
Sarah Miller was named Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week, the conference office announced Jan. 28. The award marks the 12th career Big Ten weekly honor and fourth of the season for the Collegeville, Pa., native.
Miller won or tied for three event titles as the Buckeyes posted a season-high 195.975 in a dual meet against Nebraska. The junior tied her career best with a 9.950 to take the beam title while tying for first with a 9.925 on vault and a 9.900 on floor exercise.
B1G PRESEASON POLL
Ohio State was picked third in the Big Ten Preseason Coaches’ Poll, the conference office announced Dec. 12. In addition, juniors Sarah Miller and Melanie Shaffer have been named Gymnasts to Watch in the conference.
Nebraska was picked first followed by Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and Minnesota. Illinois, Iowa and Michigan State rounded out the poll.
Miller earned second team All-America honors on balance beam and floor exercise last season while Dean garnered second team All-America honors on floor exercise. The duo became the seventh and eighth All-Americans in Ohio State women’s gymnastics history. It is the first time the Buckeyes have had multiple All-Americans in the same season. DeLuca is a two-year letterwinnner who posted career bests of 9.850 on bars and 9.875 on floor exercise a year ago.
The Buckeyes host Illinois at 4 p.m. Feb. 23 in St. John Arena.
