The No. 15 Ohio State women’s golf team wrapped up the second round of the Mercedes-Benz championships Saturday recording a 302. The Buckeyes have shot 615 (313+302=615) in the opening two days at the Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn. Ohio State is tied with Kent State in 11th. Purdue leads the field with a score of 589 (288+301=589).

Stephanie Connelly (Fr., Pasadena, Md./The Pendleton School) continued to have the best tournament for the Buckeyes. She shot 74 (+3) in the second round to total 151 and improve to a tie at 21st. Brittany Adams (Sr., Huntington, W.Va./Cabell Midland) and Carling Coffing (So., Middletown, Ohio/Middletown) were both one stroke behind Connelly with a 75 for the day. Adams now sits in a tie at No. 24, while Coffing is tied at No. 40. Whitney Wade of Georgia and Amanda McCurdy of Arkansas top the leaderboard at 144 (+2).

The 54-hole tournament concludes with Round 3 at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
