COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 14 Ohio State women’s golf team sits in ninth place following the first round of the Lady Tar Heel Invitational Friday in Chapel Hill, N.C. The team shot 309 on the par 72 University of North Carolina Finley Course. Top-ranked Duke leads the field with 294 (+6).

Dana Je (Jr., Orlando, Fla./Montverde Academy) had the highest finish for the team. She recorded a 76 (+4) on the opening 18 holes to tie for 21st place. Carling Coffing (So., Middletown, Ohio/Middletown) and Jennifer Selfinger (Sr., Columbus, Ohio/Groveport Madison) each shot 77 (+5) to finish at 26th. Anna Grzebien of Duke and Leah Wigger of Virginia top the leaderboard at 70 (-2).

The 54-hole tournament resumes with Round 2 at 9 a.m. Saturday and concludes with 18 holes Sunday.
